Be clear about your image!


Saturday was turned into visiting Italy and finding an even better house than I already found... travelling around in the rain to see about 6 houses. All were very different but had one thing in common...they were in Italy.

Being funny Mr Bos? Maybe but at least I am clear. Something which we at JR-SR try to do is educate our (future) clients about having a clear message to the outside world eg your clients. Very often a client thinks that his product is the best and nobody is getting close to their level. This phase is often followed by overall sadness, when they are being overtaken by the competitor in spectacular fashion.

Your brand is the image of your company and needs to be understood rapidly by an outsider. Today I ran into an example that is clearly not being helped by us...
My second favourite thing todo on a Saturday in Italy is having an espresso.
Today when my cafe arrived my eye went straight to the little bag of sugar.
This coffeebrand provides the sugar for free to the cafe to built his brand, however in his case I was really wondering. In short ; An italian cafebrand that has a logo of a little man wearing a sombrero and is called Mike???? Hello! Did the brandmanager went on a holiday and combined all this in one statement?

Please Please, your brand is everything, dont try to put your life story in it, be clear and simple ! Its coffee, for Mike's sake!
