There are a number of subjects to be avoided on a blog; Religion, Politics and Sex, although the last one seems to make the internet a success story... However I would like to blog a bit about Politics. Not for what they believe in or stand for, the varies in any case upon the wind or economic interests but on the way they promote themselves.
Recently I read a very interesting article that underlined the importance of the Look of party members, statesmen ect. Bush being a cowboy and that shows off in his way of running the country and currently Sarkozy. Spending some times with the cowboys wearing a blue blazer and Dockers, according to this article 'he remained professional in a laid back manner' in other words he is closer to the people but a professional president. So, image seems to be everything even in politics. So how would those Italians deal with this I wondered. I mean the country where Image, Look and being Cool go hand in hand. I decided to walk around and have a look at the party poster displayed in the street. It was a feist for the eye; pictures in black & white of candidates, glowing teeth sponsored by Colgate, beautiful women BUT the best of all was Mr Bianconi. He managed to capture my eye and stopped me from sleeping...
His campaign is so strong it makes u want to take steroids to beat him ! His slogan is 'Tolleranza Zero' I guess this speaks for itselfs. However he mastered the Image part and created his own nice... 'I will be your spokes person' but added another dimension. Something like...'Look me in the eyes, the eyes, the eyes....... brrrrrrr
Politics and Image have become scary and I would like to say... Tolleranza Zero to all Politics on logs ! Have a look at the picture and judge it yourself, dont look to look, he might bite you!
